As our community grows, so does the need for inclusive services and a safe supportive space for all. To meet this need, NSNH is moving into a brand new, 30,000-square-foot facility, opening in 2029. This new space will allow us to expand our programs, reach more people in need, and continue providing the essential services that have always been at the heart of everything we do. With support furnish and equip the space so that it’s ready to welcome and provide for everyone — children, families, and seniors alike. With your donation, you can help make this house a home.

Why your donation matters

Every dollar you contribute will go towards equipping these new spaces, ensuring that they are ready to serve the community as soon as the doors open. Whether it’s providing fresh food, offering affordable childcare, or to urgent community needs, your donation will directly contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming environment where individuals and families can find the support they need.

Special Gifts

Donations by cash, cheque or Visa and Mastercard are the easiest way to contribute to the House.

We also welcome gifts of stock and bonds, life insurance, RRSP’S,and bequests

We warmly welcome tribute gifts in honour of loved ones. Often a gift to a charity or a specific program can be a wonderful way to honour someone’s favourite causes, activities or volunteer work.

All tribute gifts are acknowledged to the individual or their family.

Endowment Fund

With the generous founding gift of an anonymous donor, the North Shore Neighbourhood House has established a fund with the North Shore Community Foundation in order to build a sustainable future for its organization. The fund will provide an Endowment from which the Neighbourhood House can draw interest in perpetuity to support its programs and services.

Your gift can make a meaningful contribution towards a safe, healthy and strong community for everyone, today and for the future.

Make a Bequest

Have you or someone you care about benefited from the work of the North Shore Neighbourhood House? Is building a strong, inclusive community important to you?

If you answer yes to either of these questions, consider remembering the North Shore Neighbourhood House in your will.

By acknowledging the Neighbourhood House with a bequest in your will or other legacy gift such as an annuity or insurance policy, you can contribute to your community beyond your lifetime to help the way along for your neighbours –

  • vulnerable teens seeking support and guidance
  • parents needing quality childcare for children with disabilities
