North Shore Neighbourhood House offers a diverse range of programs and services designed to empower kids, parents, and families of all backgrounds. Whether it’s providing essential resources, facilitating skill-building workshops, or creating opportunities for meaningful connections, these programs serve as a cornerstone for families seeking a nurturing and inclusive environment in which to thrive.

Nobody's Perfect

FREE parenting program for parents with children under the age of 6.

Discover positive ways of parenting and meet with other parents of young children.

Work together with the support of 2 trained facilitators; discuss real-life parenting situations; learn about child development, health and behaviour; share questions, concerns and ideas about being a parent. A light meal will be offered and childminding is available.

Songs, Stories & Connections

A FREE Farsi-led program with Farsi and English songs. For parents with babies from newborn to 12 months old.

Family Playgroup Drop In - FREE

A FREE drop in program for families and caregivers with children up to 6 years old to participate in play based activities, circle time, and experience art and sensory play.  An opportunity to connect and socialize with other families through play, and to find out about other community resources. This program is hosted by North Shore Neighbourhood House Parent Community Developers.

Please note: This program is popular and space is limited on a first-come, first-served basis.

Sunshine Song Time Drop-in - FREE

Join us for a FREE, fun and interactive experience focusing on the pleasure and power of rhymes and songs, language development, and parent-child bonding. For parents with newborn up to 18 months.

Public Health Nurses visit the program each week and provide client education, counselling, and referrals for topics on breastfeeding, nutrition, dental, sleep, play, immunizations, behavior, speech, hearing, and other health care questions or concerns.
