North Shore Solutions Navigator Program
The Navigators are here to help identify needs, goals, and assist in accessing community resources and support from existing service providers.
Navigators aim to support low-income North Shore residents to bridge the gap in accessing resources such as housing, food and basic needs.
The program supports community members through the multitude of barriers that may arise when navigating systems.
Program Details
- Free for those residing on the North Shore – address not required.
- Meetings can take place in person, video call, or by phone – no home visits.
What can the Navigators do for you?
- Make referrals to various community resources across the North Shore
- Assist with paperwork and applications
- Listen and offer encouragement
- Help you plan and set goals
- Follow up and check in with you
What services can Navigators refer you to?
- Housing: assistance with housing applications, shelters
- Income: assistance with government applications such as income assistance, CPP, GIS, OAS, SAFER & RAP subsidies
- Disability: assistance with prepping disability applications such as PPMD, PWD & CPPd.
- Mental Health: referral to counselling & substance use supports
- Food Security: assistance with Food Bank applications & accessing meal programs
