Grandparent Connections

North Shore Neighbourhood House offers many fun fitness, sport and recreational classes that appeal to a wide variety of interests and are inclusive of all ability levels. Come to the House to sing, paint, dance, learn a new skill, go on outings, keep healthy or chat with other seniors. Everyone is welcome.

Grandparent Connections
Grandparent Connections is a new program to support grandparents who are caring for their grandchildren under 6 years old. Grandparents have unique challenges as primary care givers. The House provides a gathering place for grandparents to meet, discuss issues, find support and find out about resources to assist them in looking after their young grandchildren. Seniors Services

Seniors Peer Support Volunteer Program
A special bond of trust develops between people who are of similar age, values and experiences. Seniors volunteers are screened and receive thorough training to offer emotional support, guidance regarding life changes and challenges, as well as providing resource information. This one-on-one support service is free, confidential, and various spoken languages are available. By request or by referral. NEW! We are currently seeking new volunteers. Seniors Lunch Program
Every Wednesday and Friday 11:45 to 1:00pm we offer an affordable and homemade lunch in the Anchor Room at John Braithwaite Community Centre.

Seniors Centre
The Discovery Room at the John Braithwaite Community Centre is a place to meet and gather. Drop in: Wednesdays and Fridays 11:45 to 1:00pm.
