This unique outreach program is for frail and/or isolated seniors living on the North Shore. Our goal is to provide health, wellness and socialization opportunities to help improve quality of life. The group meets once a week for two hours (not during COVID-19).
Peer Support Volunteer Program
A special bond of trust develops between people who are of similar age, values and experiences.
Seniors volunteers are screened and receive thorough training to offer emotional support, guidance regarding life changes and challenges, as well as providing resource information. This one-on-one support service is free, confidential, and various spoken languages are available. By request or by referral.
We are currently seeking new volunteers. Please visit our volunteering page for more information or contact the Coordinator Lorna Harding at 604-982-8333.
