Lisa Hubbard
Lisa has lived on the North Shore for her entire life. She is a mother of a 10 year old boy and an active member of this community.Lisa has been working in childcare since 1988 and has been with north shore neighbourhood house childcare since 1990. She holds her certificate In Early Childhood Education from Capilano College as well as her Special needs certificate. Lisa says that being part of a community model is exciting and ever changing. Lisa feels honoured to work for an organization that supports families and their members. Empowering families to recognize their value continues to fuel her commitment to childcare. She believes that building strong families results in a stronger community.
Rose Harvey
Rose has worked at the House for the past 3 years bringing a wealth of financial savy and strong administration skills.
Cheryl McBride
Cheryl McBride brings years of office administration and management
experience to the North Shore Neighbourhood House. Cheryl’s knowledge also includes all
aspects of human resources including conflict resolution and diversity training.
As the North Shore Neighbourhood House’s commitment is building strong communities, Cheryl
feels her work is closely aligned with her personal values. Cheryl is a long time resident
of the North Shore and is raising three children. Her family actively participates in
community sports, education and enjoys the outdoors. Cheryl’s education includes a Diploma
in Criminology, Certificate in Business Administration and is currently enrolled in the
Conflict Resolution Program at the Justice Institute.
Dave Huber
Dave began work at the House in May 1996 as an Outreach Youth Worker, later moving into the role of the Youth Centre’s Coordinator and most recently, becoming Program Manager for Youth in 2008. In May of 2009, Dave was recognized for Outstanding Supporter of Youth by the City of North Vancouver. Dave’s education is in Child and Youth Care from Douglas College and numerous workshops and courses from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. In his free time, he enjoys camping, coaching soccer and having fun with his wife Tanya and two children. He feels that the North Shore is a wonderful place to raise a family and very fortunate to work for an agency that truly is “The heart of the community.
Tricia Andrew
Tricia is the Manager of Community Services and volunteers. She came to NSNH twelve years ago as the Director of Childcare and Youth Services. She came with experience working with government and as an executive director of another non-profit agency. During the past twelve years she has been a strong advocate for the broad range of services provided by NSNH. Tricia was raised in Toronto and attended the University of Toronto and moved to Vancouver in 1975, raising 5 wonderful children on the North Shore, ages 19-34. She is a stroke and breast cancer survivor and is a member of the Deep Cove Dragon Boat Breast Cancer Survival team. Her other interests include bridge, painting, being a rugby mom and most of all, her new role as a granny.
Kirsten Forestell
Kirsten was born in Vancouver and has lived in the Lower Mainland for most of her life. She has been involved in the childcare field since 1988 most of that time has been spent supporting families of children with developmental disabilities. Kirsten holds certificates in Early Childhood Education and Post Basic Special Needs from Langara College. Kirsten first came to North Shore Neighbourhood House in the summer of 2005 to coordinate the Supported Child Development Program. Prior to coming to NSNH, Kirsten was the coordinator for Vancouver and Richmond Supported Child Development Programs. Kirsten is a new mother to a baby girl. This recent addition to her family has brought forward a new understanding of child development. Kirsten enjoys playing hockey, slow-pitch softball, camping and traveling with her family.
